On October 31st, the spookiest night of the year,

three friends went trick-or-treating without their parents for the very first time.

três amigos foram fazer trick-or-treating sem seus pais pela primeira vez.

Will it be their last?

Será essa a última?

Trick or treat!

Doces ou travessuras!

Oh what scary costumes!  What are you supposed to be?

Ah, que fantasias assustadoras! O que vocês são?

I’m a werewolf! Rawr!

I’m a mummy!

And I’m a witch!

E eu sou uma bruxa!

I like your jack-o-lanterns,

and your fangs are so scary.

The three friends approached the house.  

Os três amigos se aproximaram da casa.

There was a cemetery in the front  yard, with many ancient tombstones.

Havia um cemitério no jardim da frente, com muitas lápides antigas.

I don’t know, guys. This is pretty creepy!

Não sei, gente. Isso é bem arrepiante!

Yeah. It looks cursed!

É. Parece amaldiçoado!

It’s just a fake graveyard.

É só um cemitério falso.

With decorations this good, I bet they’ve got the best candy!

They entered the house, and  noticed that Sam was missing.

Eles entraram na casa, e perceberam que o Sam estava sumido.

Where’s Sam?

Cadê o Sam?

He was right behind us! Let’s look around.

Ele estava bem atrás de nós! Vamos dar uma olhada.

Come on! That must be Sam.

Vamos! Aquele deve ser o Sam.

Did you see that? That was a ghost!

Você viu aquilo? Era um fantasma!

Don’t panic. It was just special effects.

Não entrem em pânico. Eram só efeitos especiais.

There’s no such thing as ghosts!

Come on. What’s in here?

Mikey went through the door,  and it slammed shut behind him.  

O Mikey passou pela porta, e ela bateu fechando atrás dele.

Mikey found himself in the laboratory of a mad  scientist, doing gruesome, macabre experiments.

O Mikey se viu no laboratório de um cientista louco, fazendo experimentos macabros e horripilantes.

You! Come here! I need an extra hand.

Mikey came back into the hallway and Zoe was missing.

O Mikey voltou para o corredor e a Zoe estava sumida.

He heard a bloodcurdling scream!

Ele ouviu um grito de arrepiar!

Where are you guys? Are you  playing a prank? It’s not funny!

Cadê vocês, gente? Estão fazendo uma pegadinha? Não tem graça!

He turned and saw someone lurking in the shadows.

Ele se virou e viu alguém à espreita nas sombras.

A ZOMBIE!!

UM ZUMBI!!

Terrified, he ran down the hallway, and  the undead creature shuffled after him.  

Aterrorizado, ele correu pelo corredor, e a criatura morta-viva o seguiu arrastando os pés.

At the end of the hall, one door had  a light coming from underneath it.

No fim do corredor, uma porta tinha uma luz saindo por baixo.

He screamed for help.

Ele gritou por ajuda.

HELP ME!!

ME AJUDEM!!

He swung open the door to find….

Ele abriu a porta com força para encontrar...

A party?

Uma festa?

Mikey! Where have you been?

Mikey! Onde você estava?

I was looking for you guys!

Eu estava procurando vocês!

You’re missing a great party.  

Você está perdendo uma festa ótima.

Look, they’ve even got a cauldron and  broomsticks.

Olha, eles têm até um caldeirão e vassouras.

We have made so many friends!

Fizemos tantos amigos!

See? I told you there was nothing to be scared of.

Viu? Te disse que não havia nada com que se assustar.

Mmm, that smells delicious. When will it be ready?

Mmm, isso cheira delicioso. Quando estará pronto?

Very soon. We are only missing  three more ingredients...

Muito em breve. Estamos só faltando mais três ingredientes...

Actually… I think we should  get out of here…. right now...

Na verdade... acho que devíamos sair daqui... agora mesmo...

And so the three friends escaped the haunted  house on the spookiest night of the year.  

E assim os três amigos escaparam da casa mal-assombrada na noite mais assustadora do ano.

Will they go trick-or-treating  alone next year? We will see…
